I am in the process of writing a piece about my trip to Che Guevara’s death place in La Higuera, Bolivia, but not quite decided if it will be about my attempt to find out why he has such appeal or how he has become the Jesus figure of the Left, Chesus. You probably already have, but check out Patrick Symmes’ “Chasing Che”. It’s a quick read, but deals with some of those issues. You may also want to check out a new book by Clifford Bob, “Marketing Rebellion” (Cambridge UP).
