For those based in London, there is a solidarity event being organised on the 17th October by the Bolivia Solidarity Campaign. Details as follows:

2005 International Day of Action for the Nationalisation of Gas in Bolivia without compensation*

The Bolivian people are struggling. They have been oppressed, deceived and exploited for centuries by colonialism and a political elite. One of their main demands is the nationalisation of the rich gas reserves the country has and that are currently in the hands of the multinationals. An international conference in La Paz in August decided to call for an international day of action in support of this demand. In London the Bolivia Solidarity Campaign has taken up this call and we are organising a video screening followed by a debate. Come and show your support for the demands of the Bolivian people.

Screening of “*Bolivia is not for sale*”
The 2004 documentary on the Bolivian struggle by Elisabetta Andreoli, Gabriele Muzio, Max Pugh.

October 17th 7.30pm rampART 15-17 Rampart Street, London E1 2LA (Off Commercial road) Further details from: Bolivia Solidarity Campaign http://www.boliviasc.org.uk
