San Rafael church
The eastern part of Bolivia (not far from the Brazilian border) is famous for its Jesuit churches built during missions in the 17th Century. The churches were beautiful, adorned with dark wood carvings and colourful motifs on the wall and far removed from the gaudy excesses of many baroque churches that I saw in Brazil.
