Wow, very deep thinking you are doing over there.

I am having similar experiences here in Germany. The thing about getting to a new place. Feeling excited and finding every thing wonderful, in the beginning. After a time, it is completely the other way. Learning the language, the culture, etc. Taking time to adjust.

I have to say, this is the sencond time I do this (probably not the last, for what I can see). I would recommend it to anyone.

The most important advantage: To get to know oneself under different situations and open ones mind to things that are just "different".

Good luck.

I was one of those aghast women! And here I am preparing to leave my home for the past 5 years, reading your words and acknowledging thatI have fallen deeply in love with a place and a life and people, and am grieving the goodbye. My time here in Canada became so much more than I ever imagined it would be...living in community with students, children, prostitutes and drug addicts has taught me about common humanity, poverty of body and spirit, and responsibility. So I pray that you will become entwined with Bolivia, noticing the amazing daily beauties found in the mundane as well as the spectacular. Be at home there...maybe I'll get to visit you...or see you when back in London....my next home? Donna xxx
